Catholic Schools Week 2016

The theme of Catholic Schools Week for 2016 was Catholic Schools -Challenged to Proclaim God’s Mercy.

Catholic Schools Week is an all-Ireland annual event. It is a celebration of Catholic schools throughout Ireland.

We began each day with a short reflection in the school hall.

The highlight of the week was Grandparents’ Day on Wednesday 3rd February.

Many grandparents visited our classrooms, told us about their time in school and looked at our work. Some classes had made gifts and cards to give the grandparents and others sang or played tunes on the tin whistles. We finished with a beautiful Prayer Service and remembered the many grandparents who couldn’t be there.
