Green Schools- Christmas Walk

By December 21, 2016July 19th, 2021No Comments
We are working towards our fourth Green-Schools flag for Travel. What better way to get moving than with a Christmas walk to school. The cold winter’s morning did not dampen the pupils’ enthusiasm as many mini Santas made their way to school on foot. Kiltimagh was certainly transformed into a winter wonderland as the Santa hats moved through the town, and students sang Christmas carols.

An Taisce’s Green-School’s Education Officer Lukasz Krzywon was delighted to attend on the morning.  He said ‘St. Aidan’s are a dedicated Green – School, working tirelessly on the programme for many years. They have embraced the travel theme and are keen on making the planet healthier, and becoming healthier themselves too!

The school and parent body went above and beyond to make the school’s Christmas walk a memorable one. The Green-School’s Committee, under the leadership of Mrs. Commons and Mrs. McHugh deserve a special mention, for all their enthusiasm and hard work. This morning was a fantastic success. It was amazing to see the students from St. Louis Community School, who are also working on their Travel flag, striding to school this morning.
