For the past 6 weeks pupils from Second Class have been learning how to knit at school. We have had lots of visitors to our classroom including Helen Higgins, Mary Kenny, Sr Kathleen, Phil Walsh, Rose McHugh, Pat Lavan, Kathleen Benson, Mary Ivers and Josephine Johnson.
They have all taught us a lot and we have made lots of things over the past few weeks including wristbands, headbands, hairbands, scarves and bags. Lots of us are now able to knit and follow a pattern with help! Some of us are now very busy knitting teddies and we have one lovely blue and white Kiltimagh bear completed so far.
We hope that there will be lots more bears and other items to add to our collection soon!
