We have all been very busy here in St. Aidan’s preparing for Christmas.

We got into the Christmas spirit last November when we took part in the annual Team Hope Shoebox Appeal .

This year we donated our highest total ever -just over 260 shoeboxes!

Well done everybody and thanks again to Mr Donnellan for co-ordinating this event.

First Class wrote and posted their letters to Santa in good time! They enjoyed their trip to the Post Office.

We had Christmas concerts on Wed 12th and Thursday 13th Dec.

Read about our performances  and see lots of photos here.

Second Class performed their Nativity Play –Peace on Earth at the parish Carol Service in the Church of the Holy Family on Tuesday 18th December.

Our school choir, under the direction of Ms Lee,sang two carols .

Sixth class made these lovely Christmas centre pieces with the help of retired teacher Mrs Mooney

Santa arrived in style on Wednesday 19th Dec!!

On Thursday 20th  Dec. Aoife from Kiltimagh Credit Union, presented prizes to the winners of the recent Credit Union Poster Competition.

Congratulations to all !

The school looks very festive indeed, decorated with a great variety of Christmas art.

On Friday 21st  Dec the whole school community assembled in the school hall for  a short prayer service during which we listened to the Christmas story, sang carols and reflected on the true meaning of Christmas.

We lit the candles on the Advent wreath and Vilius, the youngest boy in the school, placed the Baby Jesus in the manger.
