Monday 12th Move It Monday
“All Irish schools were asked to drop everything and move from 12-12.10 pm”  so Drop Everything and Move took place over the intercom at this time.
Tuesday 13th Team Work Tuesday
“Climb the Heights- Skipping Challenge”
Each class (2nd up) were given record sheets to count their skips as a group throughout the day. 1 skip was the same as 1 metre so skips were measured against  the height of various mountains across Europe. Well done to 2nd Class who skipped 9,796m as a whole class result!
Wednesday 14th Walk It Wednesday
“Make walking part of the school day”
All classes from 1st up were encouraged to walk up the avenue in the morning. The committee (senior members) were there to provide encouragement.
Junior and Senior Infants went for a walk down the avenue after the bell rang in the morning.

  • Cycling with Senior Classes continued also
Thursday 15th Try it Thursday
“New ways of being active”
All classes were asked to complete 10 minutes of Active Homework in which they tried a new activity.
Friday 16th National Fitness Day
Mayo Day
The whole school took part in Mayo Day and completed a walk throughout the town in support of the green and red.
