We were delighted to welcome some of our past pupils back to school today when they visited to display the cups they have won this year. Mayo hurlers Kenny Feeney from Tooreen and Ciarán Charlton, a former pupil, showed us the Nicky Rackard Cup which the Mayo hurlers won.
Past pupil, Ronan Mallee, displayed the Connacht Junior Shield which Kiltimagh GAA club won.
Jason Forkan, another past pupil, was a member of the Under 21 Mayo team who became All Ireland Champions this year.
The players were accompanied by local GAA officers Todd O Mahony, Paddy McNicholas, Shane Gilmartin, Tom Byrne and Micheál Higgins.
Unfortunatly past pupils Liam Kelly and Donovan Cosgrove (the first Kiltimagh man to captain a Mayo Minor Team) were unable to be present.
Mrs Cunnane congratulated them on their success. She thanked the GAA club and Mr Donnellan for their contribution to sport in the school.
