Well done to 6th Class pupils who have been participating in the Safe Cycling Programme in association with Gerry Butler of Safe Cycling Ireland and Mayo Co. Co.

The main objective of the programme is to teach the children about safe cycling practices and taking all the necessary precautions while cycling on roads.

Weeks 1 and 2 involved many fun cycling games in the school yard. On Week 3 the children cycled on the Cloonkedagh loop accompanied by Gerry, Noel Gibbons (Mayo Co. Co road safety officer) and their teachers. Our community Garda provided a safe escort.
