5th Class were busy at work exploring their options for the ‘Raft Challenge’ this week. The small-group challenge is part of the schools’ participation in Mayo Science & Technology Festival 2017.
The children had to use 50 craft sticks and 20 elastic bands to construct a raft that will float. It also has to have enough buoyancy to hold a number of marbles while remaining afloat. Great fun was had by all!
