Travel Week 2015/2016 took place last week from May 16th- 20th. The week was made up of a variety of activities including;
- A slogan and poster competition– Each pupil was given the opportunity to enter a slogan (Senior Classes) or picture(Junior Classes) promoting travel which helps the environment. The winners from each class were;
- Ms. McCallion’s room: Zoe Mulderrig and Rónán Walsh
- Ms. Lee’s room: Nicole Campbell and Amelie Feerick
- Ms. Boyle’s room: William McNeely and Joseph Heneghan
- Mrs. Mooney’s room: Jack Shannon and Maria Brennan
- Ms. Nyland’s room: Ella Mooney and Savanna McGuire
- Mrs.Hickey’s room: Mia Quigley and Stephen Hirst
- Ms. Tierney’s room: Grace Creighton and Aisling Biesty
- Mrs. Rushe’s room: Lauryn Carney and Katie Brennan
- Mr. Donnellan’s room: Francisca Jones and Emma Biesty
- Let’s Get Moving! activities- On Tuesday morning Mrs. Commons got the whole school moving by calling out exercises over the intercom to all classes
- WoW– All classes took part in the national Walk on Wednesday by going for a walk within their class groupings
- Road Safety Authority speaker visited each class encouraging all pupils to take care when travelling and always remember the Safe Cross Code
- Green Day – The week culminated with an assembly and a visit from Laura from Green School’s Ireland where each class had a travel display in the hall and 3rd and 4th class both performed. All pupils dressed in green as well.
